Ben - Alexandria Newborn Photographer

There are many elements of meeting new clients that are a mystery until I show up to their session - I discuss a lot of things with my clients, but sometimes you don't know how things will be until you meet.

One main thing with newborn sessions is the setting - they are almost always taken in the parents home and though I will bring my props to each session it is nice to have some things to use that are the clients as it makes the session a little more personal and unique.

When I pulled up to Lisa and Dan's house I wasn't sure what to expect - it was a beautiful old building in Old Town Alexandria - GORGEOUS - but who knew what laid inside. From the moment I walked in I knew this session was going to be amazing - not only did they have one of the cutest boys in the world, they had a super awesome old carriage type home with exposed brick, old beams, amazing furniture and tons of character. Ah-mazing.

So the wave of baby boys continues with Ben - he was such a sweetheart. He slept, was awake and was just plain adorable. His Mom and Dad had some of the cutest beanie hats for him to wear too. Super cute. He loved to be swaddled and warm - two things I could take care of and he was a happy camper :)

Andrew - Catonsville Newborn Photographer

Funny how I meet some of my clients some times...

The wonderful parents of this adorable little boy I met on Craigslist - that sounds odd yes, but let me explain. My family moved and we were looking to get new bedroom furniture and sell our old, while Laura and Jason were looking for a dresser for their little unborn baby's nursery and our dresser fit the bill. So they came over and picked up the dresser last summer and ended up contacting me for newborn photos :)

I have to say I was so excited to hear from them, as the sex of their baby was a surprise and I really wanted to know what they had!! And they had this adorable little guy...Andrew. He is perfect and he has the biggest most expressive eyes I have seen on a newborn. Simply stunning. He was an angel throughout his entire photo session too - just taking it all in.

Carter - Delaware Newborn Photographer

I was so excited when my cousin told me her best friend wanted me to photograph her little boy. Carter was such an angel - he loved my baskets :) and loved to pose for us. He is such a cute little man - I just love the way his forehead wrinkles up!

Taylor - Westminster Newborn Photographer

This little girl is different from all of the other babies I have photographed recently...she decided to come early!! She was born 3 weeks early as a surprise for her Mom and Dad - but what a perfect surprise! Just look at all of her beautiful hair...and her Mom said she had that much hair when she was born, just imagine the locks she would have had if she came on time!

Taylor did amazing for her photo session - she slept (though at times with one eye open) for some photos and was wide awake for others - the perfect medium...though we found out she did not like my hats...at.all. But hats or no hats, she is super cute.

Stella - Delaware Newborn Photographer

Sweet Stella is my farthest traveled client and she is only 3 months old - she came all the way from Colorado! I have been waiting to meet her since before she was born as her Mommy is a good friend of mine and we have been chatting about Stella's session for months. This little man makes his family perfectly even - 2 boys and 2 girls - just like his Mama and her siblings. As you can see there will never be a lack of love for Liam - he has a big brother to show him all the ropes and two little Mommy's to help take care of him. :)

All of Liam's siblings came a little early - but he decided to hang on for the long haul and enjoy the piece and quiet while he could. I was lucky enough to photograph Liam in his Mommy's belly before he was born (as well as his older sister too!) and was so excited to finally meet him - as were my girls. They are so into babies and just couldn't wait to meet Ms. Katie's baby!

Conor - Baltimore Newborn Photographer

My college roommate has done it again...had another adorable baby boy! Conor is super cute and looks EXACTLY like his big brother - I can't wait to compare photos as they grow. You can see big brother Aidon's newborn photos here. (he was one of my first ever photo sessions!)

Conor was the perfect model - not a peep out of him and he was awake almost the entire session. So content.

The Skidmore Family - Washington DC Family & Child Photographer

My photo session with the Skidmore Family was my first time photographing in Washington DC and I loved it. It helped that they lived in beautiful Historic Capitol Hill - there were still some leaves on the trees, brick sidewalks, beautiful homes and a park right down the street, it was perfect. Not to mention that it was almost 65 degrees in the beginning of December. Perfect.

Little Julia is just about 3 months old and is curious about everything around her...she loved being outside and being able to look around at everything that was going on.

When one of my long time clients emailed me and asked if I could fit her in for a session because her sister was going to be in town of course I said yes. Courtney was pretty much the only member of Sarah's family I haven't met yet - so how could I say no!

Sarah is the Mommy to Charlie - whom you've seen a lot of his adorable face around here the past year and a half. (here, here and here). We changed things up a bit and ventured to Old Town Alexandria for some fun shots and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Sweet Baby Claire is one of my very best friends first little one. Claire actually decided to arrive early! I was so surprised to wake up one morning to a text to find out that Shannon and Brian had a baby girl - the first on both sides of their family. That is right, Claire has 9 boy cousins - soon to be 11 boy cousins - so they were all so excited to have a little girl. And a little girl as precious as Claire...they are so lucky. Claire was happy as can be the entire session, awake some, asleep some, but never a peep or complaint.

Kinder Farm Park Holiday Mini Sessions - Annapolis Family Photographer

Kinder Farm Park is one of my new favorite places to photograph! I loved it there, old barns, beautiful trees, farm fences, animals for the kiddos, green grasses, simply all around gorgeous-ness. I am sure it helped that I had beautiful families and adorable children to photograph all day, oh and that it was about 60-65 degrees in the middle of November didn't hurt either!

The Long Awaited Alan - Alexandria Newborn Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this little man while he was still in his Mommy's belly :) When I took Kendra's maternity photos she let me know that she found out that her and her two sisters were all early babies - so to be hopefully expecting a call soon. Well her due date came and went...then Mr. Alan arrived just as he had planned. He was totally worth the wait. Super adorable and looked just like his Mommy's baby pictures.

Sweet Alexa - or Lexi as her Mom said they are going to call her...was such an angel during her entire session! She slept almost the entire time even with her silly twin cousins running around her playing and having a good old time. Andrew's Mom and I have been planning his photo session for months and when it came due time for his arrival - he didn't want to come out and see us! He made everyone wait...just a little bit longer, but now he is here and I know his home will never feel the same. I have been lucky enough to follow this little lady from her Mommy's tummy all the way from a newborn until she turned one just recently. And man is she cute! This would have to be one of my easiest sessions to date - because as soon as I picked up the camera little Miss Olivia turned on the adorable smile. From that point on my job was a piece of cake!

I love getting to explore new places on photo sessions - I see things I wouldn't normally see and walk places my kids usually wouldn't want to walk. Especially at this park - there was a HUGE playground that my girls would love - and this little guy was a trooper for leaving that fun behind and venturing with us.

I had the pleasure of photographing Soren when he was still an infant, and now he is a big boy! We had a lot of fun playing with rocks and pumpkins during this session.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ben again this fall and I am amazed at how much he has grown! And all of his blonde hair...it seems all of the little boys I am getting to see again are becoming more blonde! Love.

We had a beautiful day running around the farm snapping photos of Ben - who just had his second birthday! He has one of the most adorable smiles and guess what...all it takes is something I never do...all I had to say was 'Say Cheese!' and he flashed the most perfect smile. I was in heaven.

Love this little man - though now that he is moving like crazy it was a little more of a challenge to chase him around, but we ended up with some great shots and had a lot of fun while doing so.

Baby Bennett - Baltimore Newborn Photographer

Everything was perfect about this session...and it shows in the photos. Bennett was such a sweet little guy, sleeping the entire session, giving us the perfect poses, letting his siblings love on him and just being a total angel. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

The setting for these photos was outstanding as well, this house had so much light - gorgeous light. And it didn't hurt that all of Bennett's big siblings are amazingly gorgeous too. And so well behaved!! (Nicole & Rique - if you are giving out tips or holding classes on how to have the most awesome kids...please sign me up!!)

I had such a great time meeting and loving on little Bennett - he is the kind of baby that makes you want to have more and more babies...

I found out last week that it is a childs instinct to play in leaves. See, we didn't have any trees on our property when we lived in the town house - sure the girls saw leaves, but there were never enough to rake - didn't know how thankful I was for that until now! Now we have 2 large oak trees in our backyard, So one day after work last week we were all outside so I decided to rake up some of the leaves so there wouldn't be tons to rake up later. So I raked...and without prompting, see what happened...

I love them...

Family - New Freedom Family & Child Photographer

I always love my sessions with the Chapman Family and this time we had Granny, Gampy & Uncle Adam along for the session too! Such a Smiley Little Girl - Delaware Toddler Photographer

This session was my third for the day in Delaware - it was a last minute session, Keelen's Mommy found out I was coming to town the day before and emailed me about getting a session, I am so glad she did!

Keelen is such a ham!! She loved smiling at the camera and she laughed and played the entire time. Keelen was a prime example of why I love my job - no stress, fun, get to run around and play outside photo sessions...little kids (and their parents) love them!! We are done before you know it and have caught some amazing photos of the kids just being themselves.

These two little guys are near and dear to my heart - they are my cousins little boys. (The sister of the cousin in the previous post) I remember Nate when he was once Logan's size...and now he is all big and grown! Logan is just a ball full of love and smiles...and dimples, and Elvis lip... ;)

I'm not sure if you'll be able to tell who Logan looks like...he is just a little 'mini me' of his Daddy!! I keep asking Tim what it must be like to see himself in baby form every time he looks at Logan...they are twins!

Sweet Caraline was baptised last week and I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph this most important day in her life. This little piece of sunshine lives over 2 hours from me, but she was well worth the trip! I had never been to Solomons Island before and I am so glad I had the chance to go and photograph Sweet little Charlotte and her handsome big brother Wyatt.

Luckily, after a little fiasco (lets just say I forgot to bring my camera...) I made it there just in time for a little sunshine before the rain and were able to capture some beautiful outside photos. I was in heaven photographing near their house, they had a boardwalk, a dock, water, beautiful green grass and two adorable kids! Who could ask for more!!

These sisters were so much fun to photograph! I had the opportunity to have another session with McKenna and Riley again last week and it was great time!! McKenna reminds me so much of my Charley - and I love interacting with other little girls around my kids ages, it is just so much fun. And McKenna and I had a blast!

Riley is just as sweet as can be, smiling and drooling all the while. She'd stand up or sit up and get a big old grin on her face. And the blue eyes that these girls have gotten from their pretty Mama are to die for.

I had the pleasure of meeting this little guy when he was 6 months old - and our session then was freezing cold!! This time - right before his first birthday it was very close to the end of summer and all we had to worry about was if it would stop raining for just one day so we could get his session in...and it did :)

Noah has gotten so big! He is close to walking - standing on his own pretty well! Things are going to be changing very soon for his Mom and Dad :)

I had such a blast and learned so much during Rebecca's photo session. Rebecca has been dancing since she was 3 years old and you can tell...she had to hold poses a long time for me and she did awesome!

I had waited so long to meet this sweet little girl. I had heard so much about her and asked to see photos every time I saw her Mom or Dad. Then finally a week ago I got to meet the awesomeness and adorableness that is Maggie. She so full of personality - from her facial expressions to the way she looks at her parents...she is super cute!

She was so much fun to photograph! Her many cute faces, from her beautiful smile to her scrunched up nose, everything she did was adorable.

Little Ellie is One!! Ellie was so much fun to photograph! We snapped a few of her in her tutu and then we headed off to Patterson Park. The park was a happening place that day - but we found some not so busy areas and had a great time.

Erica told me Ellie wasn't really walking much before our session - but boy did she take off once she was outside! I wouldn't be surprised if she is fully walking now. She was too adorable once she figured out how to get going! There was no stopping her :)

Our Vacation Buddies - Outer Banks Family & Child Photographer

This year we decided to take a full week at the beach with friends. It was amazing. Usually we do a weekend here and a weekend there at the beaches in Delaware - but a full week of being able to relax, slow down and hang out was just what we all needed.

This year we headed to the slower pace of the Outer Banks - where we could have a house right by the beach and didn't have to pack up all of the kids stuff every day and trek to and from the beach at nap time etc. It was heaven. We were delayed by about 2 1/2 days because of the hurricane and the road to our place being impassable - but once we made it there, we had a great time!

Our good friends Michele and Aaron and their 2 kiddos made the vacation even sweeter. Our kids got along famously - and I can't miss saying how awesome Sara was with my 2 girls - she was such an amazing help! Fun was had by all and we even squeezed in this photo session one evening around sunset on the beach.

Michele, Aaron, Sara and Adam - thanks for vacationing with us - we had a blast. Hopefully we can do it again next year and make it a tradition :) I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Farthest Traveled - Washington DC Toddler Photographer

Viene, Eric and Jeremy earn the award for my clients who had traveled the farthest for a photo session - they flew for approximately 18+ hours to come to their session!! Ok so maybe they didn't just come to see me - but either way they planned time into their trip back to the US for a fun photo session in Georgetown by the waterfront. And I am so glad they did.

Last year I had the pleasure of photographing a little Jeremy who was just on the verge of learning to sit up and this year he was running around, climbing stairs and jumping off of benches. It is amazing the difference a year makes!!

Viene had been in touch with me since January to let me know when they would be in town so we could set up a session - and it all worked out perfectly. In between my two trips out of state, a hurricane and a bout without power we were able to get together and snap some adorable photos.

Change of Plans - Baltimore Child Photographer

This session didn't start out like we had planned...see these two handsome fellas were supposed to be my second session at Ft. McHenry - but then there was this little warning I received which killed those plans. I was so bummed! So we set off to make alternative plans - we were going to take the water taxi to Fells Point - that was a no go as there was only a drop off not a pick up at the Fort. So we opted for plan number 3 a stroll around the harbor...it was a beautiful day for it, and though it wasn't our original plan - it worked out great.

Talk about brotherly love - these two boys have it. I asked them to get together and without being prompted they then hugged and loved on each other. So sweet to see - I hope my girls are as best friends when they grow up as these two are.

Jo - you are definitely doing something right. I had a blast with you and all of your boys. Thanks for being flexible!! And you will be the first family I will take back to the Fort when I get my permit :) I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little sweetheart when she was just a few days old. And now she is 6 months...time is flying way too fast!

I was so excited to have a portrait session (well was supposed to have two) at Ft. McHenry in Baltimore - it is such a beautiful place - old bunkers, beautiful brick and stone and the water views. However, as we quickly learned - via a written warning from the National Park Police - that you can't photograph there without a permit. Lucky for us, we were finished our session and they let me keep the photos. Whew!

Marisa is such a happy little love - and her parents love her so much! She is such a giggler, I had such a hard time not picking 10 giggling photos for this sneak peek, they just made me smile and were SO CUTE!

So hard to believe Peyton is ONE!! This session was actually on his first birthday which was perfect. And boy was he the show off...I asked his Mom, Lindsay if he was walking a few days before their session and she said "no, not yet". Well let me tell you he was trying to walk all over the place at his photo session!! It was too cute - he'd stand up off of the suitcase we sat him on and was so excited he could stand up and then he'd just take off! Made for some adorable photos!

I also did a little comparison in his preview from 6 months to 1 year - both of him sitting on a bench...they grow so fast!!

It is amazing how when you are tiny very little bothers you. Here we were outside on a hot steamy day surrounded by mosquitos, little crickets and bugs galore and little Claire never flinched. I even caught a photo of her where there was a baby cricket hanging out on her foot! And even her big sister would have never let on that the bugs were bothering her. But then there were us 3 adults - swatting, slapping, itching and complaining the entire time :)

Claire was a perfect little angel during her entire photo session and her big sister Abigail was wonderful too! She loves her little sister so much - it is so cute to see.

Lovable Logan - Oxford PA Newborn Photographer

This sweet little guy was my second Logan in a little over a month...and both of their Mom's are named Kelly (though one is Kellie) and they are friends! There is definitely very stiff competition for the cutest Logan of 2011. And let me tell you, if by naming your little boy Logan means they will be the best behaved, sweetest, sleepiest photography subjects...I expect a lot more Logans!

It was a perfect day for a photo session - it almost looked like it was going to rain (but it held off) and it was nice and warm to make Logan very content. These new parents are completely smitten with their little guy - as they should be, he is a cutie!

Baby Number 3 - Baltimore Maternity Photographer

We planned this session about 3 weeks before the baby's due date and we ended up squeezing it in 6 days before he made his appearance! This beautiful family are very good friends of mine and I have watched their babies grow from the day they were born. Her kids are my kids best friends and I wouldn't have it any other way.

The day we had picked for the photo session it looked like it was going to pour...it never rained at either of our houses, but by the time we made it to Jerusalem Mill we found out it had rained there. This rain made for a lot of fog, humidity and sweat. We all pushed through...some of us melted quicker then others, both physically and literally! We got some adorable photos in despite the conditions!

Kelly and Tim - I'm so glad I could capture this beautiful time in your family's life. I can't wait to watch your little man grow. I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with our Holiday Mini Sessions - this is how it works:

Sessions are $150 each (for a family of 5) and you will receive:

-a 20-30 minute mini photo session with Carrie from Carrie D Photography
-10 edited high resolution photos (BW & Color) emailed to you for you to keep forever and print to your hearts content!
-a holiday photo card design of your choice created by Jen at Element 120 Designs customized to your liking (also emailed to you)
-10% off photo card printing with Element 120 Designs!

You can view some of Element 120's holiday card designs HERE - most of these are last years designs which are still available - but there will be new 2011 designs added by the end of the summer!

The Mertz's Summer Edition - Annapolis Child and Family Photographer

You might remember this family from back near the end of last year...lets just say the weather from their session in December was the complete polar opposite of their session this July...one was freezing cold and the other very hot! But they were both very similiar in the way that they were so much fun!!

Kimberley is a very good friend of mine and I love catching up with her, Joe and adorable little Sean (I mean how cute are those pig tails!!) during their photo sessions. We chose to explore downtown Annapolis for this session and I am so glad we did.

One 'day old' bagel helped make a lot of memories during this session. I ran around the circle downtown to find a bagel that Sean could feed to the ducks and their ducklings...and oh.my.gosh. I have never heard such joy come from a tiny little body in my life. It was amazing. Sean had a blast and so did we. This is what memories are made of.

Kimberley, Joe and I had a talk at the end of the session about how much more important candid photos are - since they bring memories alive. We discussed how they will be able to look back at the photos I took of Sean laughing about the ducks in 10 years and still hear that same joyous giggle that she made. Yes posed photos are great for remembering how someone looked and how they smiled, but photos of reactions, life, and every day times are what seal those memories in deep about the child's personality and love.

Family Fun - Annapolis Family and Child Photographer

I love watching kids grow year after year - I had such a great time photographing the Simpson Family last summer and was so excited when they emailed me again this year! Not only do the kids grow, but their personalities evolve and change as well - it is so exciting and sweet to watch them become a year older in what seems like a flash!

This summer not only did I get to photograph the Simpsons - but their extended family as well! With family visiting from the west coast and Grandma in town - we had a fun filled family session! Oh and I couldn't leave out my buddy Jackson who makes a surprise appearance at the end ;)

It is such a small world and I am amazed by it every day...

This adorable family is from Long Island and had lived in the same town where my good friends are from - and they know each other! I couldn't get over it. Well that is until I was mesmerized by little Lilly's beautiful baby blues. Oh my, she reminds me so much of my Andie with her blue eyes and blonde hair - simply gorgeous.

I had such a great time photographing this family on a beach in their neighborhood - I'm starting to think that maybe we should have opted for a neighborhood with a beach over the 2 acres of grass that we have to mow constantly... It was another hot one, but the breeze off of the water kept us a little cool.

Two of the Most Adorable Little Men - Annapolis Twin Photographer

I was totally overwhelmed by the cuteness of these two little guys. Nick and Drew are identical twins who are the most happy and smiley little guys I have ever met!

Though I am not going to lie, I had a little bit of a difficult time telling them apart - I did finally come up with a way to figure it out :) One thing I did learn that from here on out I am going to use a divider in between individual photos of all identical twins I photograph - so I won't have to flip back and forth between two photos trying to figure out ones cuteness from the others!

It was a H.O.T. day in downtown Annapolis the day of our photo shoot - Nick and Drew were troopers! We took little breaks here and there to cool off inside and that helped a lot. But both boys lasted almost 2 hours and gave me big smiles the entire time. I had a blast with these little guys - I can't wait to see what they are like when they turn 1...it is going to be even more fun then I can imagine!!

Sweet Adalida - Baltimore Newborn Photographer

Sweet Adalida - was just that...such a sweet and content little girl. I don't think I heard her make a sound the entire session! She let us dress her up in silly (but cute!) hats and tutus and never complained. This little girl is surrounded by love...from her labradoodle big brother Mason to her amazing parents and a doting Grandma who was snapping camera phone shots and bragging to all of her friends about her model granddaughter :)

Long Awaited Logan - Wilmington Newborn Photographer

I've been waiting on this little guy for 9 months now...he is my 2nd cousin, we're related ;) And he is the cutest little guy ever - one side dimple, the sweetest smile, dark eyes and so content.

Logan decided to take his time getting here - though there were a bunch of us waiting on him, he decided everything was going to be on his terms. But it all turned out just fine and for a baby this good - it was worth the wait!

I can't wait to watch little Logan grow - if he turns out to be anything like his big brother then he'll be awesome. Well that and his Mom will have her hands full!!

Perfect Little Penelope - Annapolis Toddler Photographer

I love my clients. Ok I know you are probably sick of me saying this, but I have the best clients in the world! They are so easy going, so much fun and so beautiful! They make my job such a joy. Not only do I have fun at the sessions, I then can't wait to get home to see their adorable faces on my computer screen and smile at their photos.

This whole session is smile worthy - just look and you'll see what I mean. The cutest little girl - with the cutest name ever...Pennie...how adorable is that! It was a scorcher of a day - though we all didn't think it was going to be that hot - about 10 minutes in we were all trying to figure out if we could take a swim in the fountain. It would have made for some great photos - but there was a sign that said it was out of the question...silly rules!!

Luisa and Paco - thank you so much for hanging in there on choosing a location - I think in the end you picked a perfect spot! I had such a blast meeting you guys and capturing the memories of your little lady. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

How to Capture a 'Real' Smile - Accokeek Family Photographer

HAVE FUN! And boy did we ever have fun at this session! How could we not? We were on a farm, with sticks, a rope swing, animals, barns, a pond and everything else a little boy could dream of!

Like a few other Moms I have talked with, Kelly was concerned with her little guy Elijah's 'cheese smile' that came out every time the camera was around - I told her not to worry - I knew exactly how to combat the 'cheese smile' - the key is to have lots of fun and make the little ones comfortable, so that they laugh and smile naturally because they aren't thinking about it! Don't get me wrong - we did see the 'cheese smile' a few times, but not a lot!

This family was so much fun to photograph - as you can see from the first photo we had a blast! I have to give big thanks to my trusty assistant Katea who came along to do cart wheels in the back ground in order to grab the little ones attention - she did a great job considering it was nine thousand degrees outside - you'd never know it by these smiling faces!

Pardon this Interruption - Baltimore Child Photographer

But my baby girl turned ONE! So I am feeling the need to deviate a little and post some photos of my girls.

It was bound to happen I know, but I don't think I was ready for it so quickly!!

We celebrated Andie's birthday twice - Once on her actual birthday - where we went to the park, then went out for ice cream and then she had a cupcake (that her big sister helped me make) - it was pretty low key. The next week we had a party at our new house - which was a blast - though it was a little hot and she chose a freeze pop over her cake :)

Andie talks up a storm every second she is awake, just like her sister. She isn't walking yet - and we are not pushing it, but she is getting close as she can stand on her own for a while, but why walk when she can crawl at mach speed...seriously, it is unreal. She loves her bunny and cuddles with him every night. She loves her big sister Charley too - every morning we walk into her room she says 'Hi' with a big ol' grin on her face. She loves to swing and loves bubbles. She loves all animals she has met so far and thinks horses are the funniest of them all.

Ok Miss Andie - enough already, slow down. Mama wants you to stay her little cuddle bug forever!!

Enough about my little angel...here are some photos most of which are from her actual birthday, not her party as I was a little too busy to snap some pics that day (and there are a few of her big sister thrown in there for good measure). So here is what keeps me busy when I am not out at photo sesssions or editing photos! Enjoy!

This baby girl made my job super easy, she was adorable, slept a little, was awake a little and was as content as could be and it was HOT outside! Thalia is such a sweetheart - and boy does her big brother love her to pieces. She is lucky to have such great big brother! He is a cutie too - every time I pointed my camera his way he flashed me a big smile.

Such a tiny baby girl - so small and adorable. Little Katelyn broke the mold and decided to come and meet her family early. She was such a sweet little one - loved being outside and didn't seem to mind her big brother loving on her. Ryan was so sweet with his little sister - giving her kisses and pats on the head every chance he could get!

A Change of Pace - Annapolis Family Photographer

If you have been keeping up with my blog over the last few months you have seen a little bit of a trend - babies, babies everywhere - not that I am complaining!! Though I'd have to say I do love a change of pace every now and then.

The Pickens' Family was just that change of pace I needed. It was a lovely evening on the water in Annapolis and I couldn't have asked for a better setting and family to share it with.

Sweet Baby Girl - Alexandria Newborn Photographer

Such sweet little girls - I have said it before and I will say it again (and probably over and over again...) but I love to see the bond between new sisters. Even when they are close in age you can see the love and concern that a big sister has for her new baby sister.

I have been overwhelmed with newborn babies the last week (in a good way!!) - they were all due within a 4 week span and they all arrived within a week and half of each other!! Not only have I been incredibly lucky in the baby department, but also in weather department - babies love to be outside and in the warm air - and it has been warm.

This little girl was a complete angel and loved being outside. Her big sister who is also absolutely gorgeous, was a lot of fun as well. Melissa - thank you so much for asking me to come and capture the newness of your beautiful Maeve and her big sister Remy. They are both incredibly adorable and so lucky to have you and your husband.
